This is a small demo of an simple interactive 3D overworld map with pixel icons for areas.

There are three modes:

  • In the view mode the user can rotate the disk shaped world
  • In the select mode the user can choose between the different areas, and the camera will pan into where the icon is located on the map.
  • In the details mode a window will show on the bottom with info about the icon/area.

This is just a component of a different project I've been messing with, so the area names/descriptions aren't really written. But, I think interactive-wise it's good enough on it's own to put out onto the web.

If it's laggy, try changing the hardware acceleration setting in your browser (in Chrome it's the "Use graphics acceleration when available" option)

This was created using Blender and Godot, the music/sfx is from MusMus (link), and the font is Economica from Google Fonts.
